Among various factors influencing the formation of berry aneurysms are genetic or possible genetic syndromes. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, pseudoxanthoma elasticum, Rendu-Osler-Weber syndrome, Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome, and type III collagen deficiency are known to be associated with cerebral aneurysms.
